Pensees was honoured to be invited as a Guest Speaker for IET-NTU On Campus virtual Career Fair on the topic 'AI Technology and Career Opportunities', organized by the Institution of Engineering and Technology, Nanyang Technological University (NTU).
On 28 September 2021, Ms Evelyn Tan, HR Director of Pensees Pte Ltd shared with a total of 36 students of NTU her insights and advice on developing a career in the field of AI Technology. Ms Evelyn Tan provided an exclusive look at the recent new developments and innovations that Pensees Singapore team of AI Scientists have developed, such as the Fighting Detection Video Analytics and Pensees' Medicine Dispensary System. In her talk, Ms Evelyn Tan considered the surging demands in AI industries, relating these to the perspectives and experience to the field of AI research with Pensees, and further connected it to Pensees' mission of "AI as a service" in Singapore and the region. She then proceeded to provide a preview of what’s to be expected working in Pensees, homing in on the key takeaways through the student internships programmes, as well as working as an AI Scientist with the Research Institute of Pensees.
At the end of the timely and thought-provoking session, the attendees had the unique opportunity of an intense Q&A session with Ms Evelyn Tan, who helped enlighten the students on how they could tap into the innovation ecosystem and elaborated on how Pensees fosters careers for young talents.
Today’s undergraduates are entering the workforce amidst a digital revolution and Ms Evelyn Tan provided several important pieces of advice for students to guide their future. It was an enriching learning experience for everyone. We are grateful to be part of this amazing sharing session which provided an opportunity for students and employers to make connections and explore opportunities.
